Miss Cheryl Choo has over 30 years of experience across the Energy, Chemicals, and Manufacturing sectors, with a strong technical foundation in process engineering, operations, and asset-intensive environments. She spent a significant portion of her career in regional Asia Pacific at ExxonMobil, supporting large-scale refining, petrochemical, and downstream operations. Her work covered asset integrity, operational risk assessment, human factors engineering, management of change (MOC), and safety management systems, as well as the delivery of multi-site transformation initiatives across complex operating facilities.

Her experience spans operations support, incident and risk analysis, organisational change in technical environments, information management systems, and cross-functional integration between engineering, operations, safety, and business teams. She has led and supported programmes involving job redesign of technical roles, competency framework development, and structured upskilling of engineers and technicians to meet evolving regulatory, safety, and technology requirements.

She currently serves as the OPEC Sector Representative at e2i (Employment & Employability Institute), partnering companies on Company Training Committee (CTC) transformation projects focused on engineering workforce capability building, skills deepening, and technology-enabled operational transformation, supporting long-term asset reliability and sector resilience.
